Dr. Ash Kshirsagar attended Emory University School of Medicine, Atlanta, GA and graduated in 1997.

Dr. Kshirsagar completed his internal medicine internship, surgical internship, and urology residency at The University of North Carolina. At the completion of his residency, Dr. Kshirsagar was recognized by his mentors, colleagues, and co-workers by receiving the Arnold Tein Resident Award for his professionalism and dedication to patient care. During his residency, Dr. Kshirsagar learned to perform laparoscopic surgery as well as general urologic surgeries. After residency, Dr. Kshirsagar received advanced training in male infertility at The University of Illinois at Chicago, one of a handful of places in the U.S. that offers a fellowship in this urologic subspecialty. During his fellowship, Dr. Kshirsagar learned to perform numerous microscopic surgeries including varicocele repair, testicular sperm extraction, and vasectomy reversal (Vasovasotomy and Epididymovasostomy). Upon completing his fellowship in June 2005, Dr. Kshirsagar practiced in Maryland before joining Washington Urology in October 2006.

Dr. Kshirsagar has authored numerous journal articles, abstracts, and posters on a wide range of urologic issues. He has been a moderator at The American Society of Reproductive Medicine Meeting in Canada. He has given talks on male infertility in both the United States and Europe. Dr. Kshirsagar is also a member of the Virginia Hospital Center medical staff and the American Urological Association.

In addition to male infertility, Dr. Kshirsagar has particular interest in Peyronie's disease and male sexual dysfunction.
